NEW ZEALAND
Who we are
Gallagher is one of the world’s top three insurance brokerage and risk management companies, with a global network of brokers in over 130 countries. Previously known as Crombie Lockwood in New Zealand and now trading as Gallagher Insurance, we have a long history of helping New Zealanders with their insurance needs.
We help Kiwis face their future with confidence
As expert advisers, we identify and arrange business, rural, personal and life and health insurance on behalf of over 160,000 clients. One of the leading broking companies in New Zealand, our teams of around 1,000 broking professionals are based in over 30 offices around the country.
Although we became a part of the Gallagher network in 2014, we took up the global Gallagher brand name in 2023 to further increase our ability to access more insurance products and pricing options from international insurers. Our local business, which was established in 1978, is still led by two of our Kiwi founders, Steve Lockwood and Carl O’Shea.
